Kellie “MzJakada” Evans and her family are natives of Detroit, Michigan. Her path in fashion began at the age of 6 (1986) when she would make ensembles for her paper dolls. MzJakada has always serviced her community! In 1989, She walked the runway in her first Fashion show to raise money for her organization (Girl Scouts). Thus far, Fashion was imprinted in her DNA. MzJakada went on to design her very first prom dress in 1998 for her senior prom! Her only dream was to become a world renowned fashion designer. In 2013, Jakada LLC was born, parent company of JS House of Fashion. The company was created by Owners MzJakada & Husband, Kenyatta Evans. When JS House of Fashion was introduced, the couple launched & showcased their new clothing brand and designs in their first self funded fashion show. The brand included a women, men and children’s clothing line. The children’s line was designed & created by the couple’s oldest son Jordan Wilson who was 12 years of age when he sketched the design. In that same year, Co-Owner, K. Evans created Jakada Hair & Skin Care Line. In 2016, the family owned business relocated back to El Paso, TX which has become Jakada LLC and subsidiary companies permanent place of business. JS House of Fashion is highly involved in their community and in 2018, JS House of Fashion was featured on KFox14 El Paso, TX News. The coverage featured JS Clothing awarding a well deserving senior student with a Pretty & Pampering Package for his/her senior prom. The Giveaway included a free outfit prom design with customizations and free hair & make up services by their glam squad. In spite of the pandemic, JS House of Fashion is currently in the 4th year running for providing the PPP Giveaway to Senior Students! In 2019, MzJakada showcased her designs in El Paso Fashion Week. MzJakada continues to create new, yearly designs and recently displayed them in 2021 Fashion Meets the Arts (subsidiary company of Jakada LLC) Fashion Show along with opening a modeling agency (Jakada Agency) for models with various non traditional looks. Jakada LLC strives to commit & provide a reputable service through their businesses while servicing the community!
